Australian Designed and refined, the Spartan and Spartan Hooded series are the highest quality and best designed rotisserie at this price point. Constructed entirely from stainless steel, the units are built to last and will handle anything you throw at it. This is why we use both the 1200mm hooded and 1500mm hooded spartan for all our hire and catering events.

The 1500 hooded Spartan will cook any large animal. It is the perfect size to cook lambs, pigs, or any of the many introduced species if you are an avid hunter. With additional accessories, you will be able to fit 8-10 whole chickens or 3-5 large 7 kg roast meats (such as boneless pork legs and wagyu rumps).

It moves with minimal effort thanks to the large, solid wheels - even while cooking! A stainless steel hood, with viewing port and thermometer, allows use in any weather conditions. It will not only replace your current BBQ but provide so much more versatility; allowing spit roasting, traditional grilling, meat smoking, or even use as a conventional oven.

3 Motor Choices

As with all the different Spartan models, a choice of three motors will meet your desired cooking conditions. Choose from:

  • 30 kg weight rated motor
  • 60 kg weight rated motor
  • 120 kg weight rated motor

Adjustable Spit Height

One of the most unique features that provides more versatility than it gets credit for is the ability to adjust the skewer height. You can do this even if you are by yourself, with simple friction locks, and without having to turn off the motor.

In fact, for all our cooks we use a combination of charcoal addition and skewer height to control our cooks and produce perfect results each and every time. Furthermore, you can lower your skewer to get more heat into the cook, or crackle the skin of a pig in that last 30 minutes.

Spit, Grill, & Oven

This machine will replace any current BBQ you have. The unit comes with 304 food grade stainless steel accessories and skewer to provide un-matched rotisserie cooking.

Alongside this you will get two large 304 stainless steel BBQ grills that provide a massive 145 cm x 45 cm grilling surface.

Finally, a full stainless steel hood, with in-built thermometer and viewing port, will allow the Hooded Spartan to be used as a traditional oven. We have personally done this to cook over 30 kg of roast meats with smoking wood!
