  • 2 full length gas burners on both sides - these have independent gas controls and flame regulation providing precise heat control.
  • Each independent burner has flame protection. If the burner goes out, the gas stops flowing - it's a really important safety feature often overlooked on gas rotisseries.

1500 mm Dual Fuel Motors and Extras

Just like the spartan models it was designed off, this multi use spit comes with a choice of 3 motors: 30 kg; 60 kg; and 120 kg weight rated. These motors have had constant refinement over the years and have been robustly tested under non ideal conditions. In the video below (or to the side) you can see the 30 kg weight rated motor tested with 60 kg of weight off balance, over an 8 day period non-stop. It never faulted once or slowed down. These extensive tests were applied to all the weight rated motors, and as such, the warranties were upgraded from a year to 2 years. They rotate at 5 RPM, often considered the ideal turning speed for cooking and come with minimal moving parts - maximising its life.

  • 304 Food Grade Stainless Steel 22 mm round skewer - the most popular size for large spits making finding accessories easy.
  • You can rotate whole animals with the hood closed when the spit is at the lowest height - this can help quickly put heat into the animal, speed up the process when time is tight, allow smoking of anything being cooked, and also provide protection from weather - don't let strong wind ruin your cook!
  • Smoking with the unit is only possible when using wood or charcoal - we have often soaked wood chips (then drained them) and sprinkled them over hot charcoal alongside burning large chunks of smoking wood.
