What is Infrared Heating?
Infrared heating utilises natural wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum to heat objects in a similar way to the sun. 100% natural and sfe, infrared heating heats objects directly, rather than the air and objects around it. This allows infrared heaters to be super efficient, reduce dampness and mould (compared to other heating types), and provide a pleasant warmth that feels akin to standing in the sun on a crisp spring day.
Are Infrared Heaters Safe to Use?
Yes, Herschel infrared heaters are meet rigorous safety standards, including TÜV GS certification, EU/UK Electrical Safety standards, and AUS/NZ Electrical Safety standards. It also adheres to the Ecodesign Compliance (ErP Regulation (EU) 2015/1188 and supplement (EU) 2016/2282 (Lot 20)) when used with Herschel Controls. They also include internal safet thermal cut-out sensors to prevent the heater from over heating.
Can I control the infrared heater with my smartphone?
Yes, the heater is equipped with Herschel’s SMART-R system, which allows for app-enabled control via the SmartLife App. This includes features like scheduling, voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant, and more. Additionally, the 220 W Herschel under desk heater can also be turned on and off via a foot switch.
Can I paint Herschel infrared panel heaters to match my décor?
Yes, the heater can be painted using suitable heat-resistant paint. Painting the heaters DOES NOT void the warranty, however, painting the heater may void your right to return it for a refund within statutory periods.
