Q1: What's the go with smokeless fire pits?
The Smokeless Fire Pit is the saviour we have been waiting for to the outdoor fire world. Thanks to some clever tech like dual combustion chambers and cool airflow tricks. The result? A cleaner burning fire that won’t have you playing musical chairs to escape the smoke.
Q2: How do these smokeless wonders work their magic?
It's all about maximum air flow and burning that pesky smoke before it escapes. Once the fire is started any gases or bits that turn into smoke get another good grilling in the second combustion chamber. This not only eliminates smoke but makes for a much hotter fire!
Q3: Can I chuck any old wood in it?
The answer is yes, but I would 100% recommend sticking to dry, seasoned hardwoods. Softwoods, green timber or anything still damp may save you a trip to the dump but will only smoke you out.
Q4: Are Smokeless Fire Pits Safe?
Yes, as long as you aren't setting up shop on a trampoline or next to a pile of old newspapers. Put it on something sturdy that won't catch fire and give it some personal space from anything flammable and always keep some water on stand by just in case.
Q5: What is the drill with keeping it clean?
Just a little bit of TLC can go a long way. After use when the Smokeless Fire Pit has cooled down remove any leftover ash. Give the guts a clean out every now and then to make sure the air holes are clear for maximum air flow. A little love goes a long way.
Q6: Can I bring out my inner chef on my Smokeless Fire Pit?
Sure can! Many come with an optional grill like ours does. You can even set up a rotisserie above it to roast your favourite meats (we have two perfect for the job here). Just make sure yours is up for the task before you start planning your new outdoor meal menu.
Q7: What about when there is a fire ban on?
That is a debatable topic, Smokeless Fire Pits are usually more lenient to the rules due to their clean burn and low smoke. However that isn't a free pass, always check with the local authorities to keep the peace and avoid any fines
